Lothiriel, daughter of Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth, is given the responsibility of defending her city from the pirates of Umbar at the outbreak of war. Although she accomplishes this task, she comes out of the battle changed.
As she follows her father, brothers and friends to the field of victory, she meets the gruff king of Rohan.
Soon she faces a heartbreaking choice: will she take up her new task in Dol Amroth or follow her heart to the green steppes of King Eomer?
Lothiriel, dochter van Prins Imrahil van Dol Amroth, krijgt bij het uitbreken van de oorlog de verantwoordelijkheid haar stad te verdedigen tegen de piraten van Umbar. Hoewel ze deze taak tot een goed einde brengt, komt ze veranderd uit de strijd.
